A large Garda presence was seen at the funeral of Willie Moorehouse, a father-of-six tragically killed in Bray last month during a violent incident.
Willie, 36, was killed in a playground after agreeing to a “fair fight.” His coffin arrived at St Fergal’s Church in a horse-drawn carriage. Mourners wore t-shirts with his picture.
Floral tributes and photos of Willie welcomed attendees at the funeral mass. He had been at Thomas Murphy and Sons Funeral Home the night before.
Willie’s family invited everyone to attend the service. They expressed their hope for peace for him and support for his partner, who is expecting their seventh child.
Friends and family shared heartfelt messages on social media. They remembered Willie fondly and prayed for his partner and their unborn baby.
Mary McInerney wrote a touching tribute, asking God to watch over Willie’s family. His former partner, Angela Joyce, also shared her sadness over his passing.
