Farmers in Exeter are gearing up for an exciting conference focused on sustainable practices and future farming solutions
Exeter: The Rootstock conference is back! It’s the South West’s top agricultural event. This year, it’s all about resilience and sustainable farming.
On February 6, Westpoint Arena will host the event. After two sold-out years, excitement is high. Farmers and researchers will gather to share ideas.
Some big names will be there. Minette Batters, former NFU chief, and Dr. Jennifer Rowntree from the University of Plymouth are just a few. They’ll discuss the latest in farming practices.
Rootstock is now in its third year. It’s backed by universities and research institutions. The goal? To help farmers tackle challenges and find practical solutions.
Sir Harry Studholme, one of the organizers, highlights the tough times for UK agriculture. Climate change and market shifts make planning tricky. Rootstock aims to offer trusted advice and innovative solutions.
Last year, around 320 people attended. They found the event inspiring and a great chance to network. It’s all about sharing ideas and exploring solutions together.
Tickets are on sale now! DCAA members can get them for £30 if they book by January 15. Standard tickets are £40. It’s expected to sell out again, so don’t wait!
