John Connors and David Merriman are launching a film course in Dublin to help aspiring filmmakers break into the industry
The course, called “Lights, Camera, Action,” starts on March 1. It’s perfect for anyone struggling to find their way in film. Connors shared that he and Merriman faced challenges getting into the industry themselves.
They know how tough it can be, especially with high film school fees. Some courses cost between €6,000 and €7,000, which is a lot! By the end, you might just get a show reel, but not much else to kickstart your career.
This new course costs €2,500 and runs for three months. Participants will actually create a feature-length film that will be shown on the big screen. Plus, they’ll share in the profits!
Merriman mentioned that they noticed many talented people in their acting classes. The biggest question was always, “How do we get our films made?” They want to change that.
