Hundreds gathered in Devon to honor local farmer Steve Yeandle with a tractor convoy, raising funds for pancreatic cancer and heart disease charities.
Devon: Hundreds of people gathered yesterday to honor a local farming legend. They paid tribute to Steve Yeandle with a big tractor convoy through the countryside.
Steve Yeandle, a farmer from Crediton, passed away in May 2024 at 65. A memorial service took place in June, where attendees wore bright clothes and donated to charities.
This weekend, the Mid Devon farming community came together again to remember Steve. They met at Winscott Barton and drove their tractors through several towns.
The event raised money for Pancreatic Cancer UK and The British Heart Foundation. Participants donated £10 to join the tractor run.
Many of Steve’s friends and family attended, including his son Jack, the club captain for Exeter Chiefs. The convoy started at 11am, led by Dan Chanin on Steve’s favorite tractor.
