Dublin: A Status Red wind warning is in effect for four counties due to Storm Eowyn. Met Eireann has warned of a serious “danger to life.”

The warning kicks in from 3am to 10am on Friday. It affects Clare, Cork, Kerry, and Limerick. Expect gale-force winds that could hit over 130 km/h.

Traveling will be extremely risky, and there’s a chance of event cancellations. Coastal areas might see flooding, especially in low-lying spots.

People should be cautious of fallen trees and power outages. Transport services may face disruptions too. An Orange wind warning is also in place for all of Ireland from 2am to 5pm on Friday.

A weather advisory will last until midnight on Saturday. Met Eireann says a deep low-pressure system is moving across Ireland. Strong winds and heavy rain are expected.

They’re keeping a close eye on the situation and will update warnings as needed. Stay safe out there!
