Dublin: Storm Eowyn is hitting hard. Schools are closing in all Status Red areas. This includes Dublin and 21 other counties.

The wind warnings are serious. Met Eireann says gusts could exceed 130 km/h. That’s really strong! People are being told to stay indoors.

The National Emergency Co-ordination Group met and confirmed the closures. They want everyone to “shelter in place.” It’s all about safety right now.

Employers are encouraged to let workers stay home if they can. Only emergency workers should be out and about. Expect major disruptions everywhere.

The warnings are in effect for several counties. Cavan, Monaghan, Kildare, and more are on the list. The alerts vary in timing, but they’re all serious.

The forecaster warns of potential dangers. This includes life-threatening conditions and travel hazards. There could be fallen trees and power outages too.

A Status Orange wind warning is also in place for all of Ireland. Plus, there’s a yellow rain warning for Cork, Kerry, and Waterford. Stay safe out there!
