Suki Cafe has opened on Waterbeer Street, offering pastries and organic coffee. Enjoy 30% off during the soft opening, leading to the grand opening in February.
Exeter: A new café has opened in a cozy spot in the city. Suki Cafe is now serving freshly baked pastries and a variety of hot drinks.
Located on Waterbeer Street, Suki Cafe faces the Guildhall Shopping Centre. The café started showing signs in January, promising organic specialty coffee and delicious pastries.
They are currently in a “soft opening” phase, with a grand opening planned for February. During this soft opening, you can enjoy 30% off any purchase!
Though the name Suki means ‘beloved’ in Japanese, the menu features Spanish-inspired treats. They offer ‘manolos’, mini croissants, and ‘palmitas’, sweet heart-shaped pastries.
The owners shared their excitement on social media, inviting everyone to mark their calendars for the opening. They want to create memorable moments with their customers.
This location has a history of selling baked goods. It was previously home to Shauls bakery, a family chain that closed during the pandemic.
Shauls had to shut down all its locations in 2020 and went into liquidation, owing over £1.5 million. The site remained empty until recently, when it was transformed into Suki Cafe.
The soft opening runs from January 29 to February 7, with the grand opening set for February 8.
