A key route in Somerset will close for resurfacing, affecting drivers until late January. Plan your trips accordingly to avoid delays.
Somerset: The A303 is closing for some much-needed resurfacing. This closure will last until next month. It’s a two-mile stretch between Newtown and Stopgate Cross.
Starting tonight, there will be weeknight closures from 8 PM to 6 AM. This goes on until January 24. Then, the road will be shut all weekend until January 27.
There’s another closure coming up too. From January 31 at 8 PM until February 3 at 6 AM, the road will be closed again. If you’re heading east, follow the A30 and Stooper’s Hill to get back on track.
For those going west, just reverse the route. It’s a good idea to plan your trips ahead of time to avoid any hassle.
