Robertstown GAA organizes a Croagh Patrick climb on March 21st to honor Frank Dowling and raise funds for Brain Tumour Ireland.
They do this for Brain Tumour Ireland to honor Frank Dowling, who died last April. So far, they have raised €4,250 for the charity and their current fundraising goal is €5,000. Robertstown GAA wants to continue to honor Frank with this climb.
The club feels Frank’s loss deeply as he profoundly impacted Robertstown GFC and the community. His legacy lives on at Maurice Musgrave Park and in the young players who proudly wear the Robertstown crest.
Frank was a great player and a dedicated committee member. He coached young players and mentored seniors, always with a smile. Frank lived for Robertstown GFC and his presence remains strong, having given his life to the club.
Many in the GAA community paid tribute to Frank. Robertstown GAA wants to carry on his spirit, knowing Frank cannot be replaced. They climb to honor Frank Dowling’s memory and become stronger because of him.
