Met Eireann warns of a wet week ahead for Ireland, with heavy rain and strong winds expected to impact many areas.
Today starts off with some fog, but it should clear up a bit. Expect a mostly dry day with a few sunny spells. However, the south and east will stay cloudy with light rain. Temperatures will be around 7 to 10 degrees.
Tonight, it’s going to be cloudy in Munster and south Leinster. Rain will spread from the southwest, while other areas might see some clear spells. Mist and fog will return, with temperatures dropping to 0 to 5 degrees.
Tuesday morning will still have some fog hanging around. Most places will be dry with sunny spells and scattered showers. The south and east might see some rain at first, but it should brighten up later. Expect highs of 5 to 9 degrees.
Looking ahead, Met Eireann says it’ll get colder from Tuesday night. Scattered showers are likely, and by Thursday, we could see very strong winds and heavy rain. Friday might be particularly wild, with near gale force winds and possibly some sleet or snow.
So, keep your umbrellas handy and stay safe out there!
