Ilfracombe: Exciting news! The town is hosting its first-ever Talent Fest this February. It’s all about supporting mental health and encouraging young folks to share their feelings.

On February 21, twelve acts will take the stage at North Devon Resort. Spark UK is putting this event together, and it’s sponsored by Philip J Milton & Company Plc. Sounds fun, right?

This is Spark UK’s first big event. They’re a community interest company started by local teens to help others and get people talking about mental health. They’re even becoming a registered charity soon!

They already help over 300 schools across the UK with mental health resources. It’s amazing how they’re making a difference, especially in North Devon.

The Talent Fest kicks off at 6 PM and runs until midnight. Expect a variety of performances and entertainment throughout the night. The audience gets to vote for their favorite acts, which is pretty cool!

Food will be available, and tickets are just £5. You can grab them online or at the door. It’s a great way to support a good cause while enjoying some local talent.

Conor Warren, the CEO of Spark UK, started this initiative with his friends during the pandemic. They wanted to address the lack of mental health support in their area.

Conor said, “We want to spark conversations about mental health. The Talent Fest is a chance for hidden stars to shine and for us to highlight important issues.”

They create teaching resources that resonate with young people, making it easier for teachers to engage their students. Feedback has been positive, which is encouraging!

Philip Milton, the Managing Director, also supports Spark UK. He believes their work is crucial for helping young people navigate tough times.

So, mark your calendars for the Talent Fest! Doors open at 6 PM, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a night of talent while supporting mental health awareness.
