Temperatures are dropping to around 1°C in North Devon. It will be milder in Exeter and Mid Devon. Drivers should stay alert and drive cautiously.
Today, the A388 in Holsworthy is closed due to ice. This follows two serious crashes earlier today near Exeter and Ilfracombe. Thankfully, those roads have reopened now.
The council shared a message on social media. They said, “We’ve had many reports of icy conditions. Our gritters are out treating the roads. Drive carefully, as ice can form even on treated roads.”
Tonight, the weather will start clear but turn cloudy and windy. Cornwall may see some rain later. Expect a milder night with temperatures around 4°C.
Sunday will be cloudier with rain in Cornwall and Devon. There will be some bright spells too. It will be breezy, with a high of 9°C.
Looking ahead to Monday through Wednesday, expect cloudy and breezy weather. Some rain is possible, especially in the west. Heavier rain is expected Tuesday night, clearing up by Wednesday.
