North Devon: Recently, some hooded guys were spotted lurking around homes. It seems they’re after expensive cars. This happened early Thursday morning in Barnstaple.

At around 2:25 AM, they broke into a place on Chichester Road. They grabbed a couple of nappy bags and dumped them in an alley. Then, just after 2:50 AM, one of them was seen in a garden on Coppice Gate.

Between 4 AM and 5 AM, three men were spotted on driveways in Cedar Grove and Becklake Close. There was also another incident reported on Higher Westlake. It’s clear these hooded figures are up to no good.

The police think they’re targeting high-value cars like BMWs, Audis, and VWs. They’ve been going door to door asking questions but need help from the public. If you know anything, call 101 and mention reference number 50250011910.

Devon and Cornwall Police shared some tips to keep your stuff safe. They suggest locking your cars and setting alarms. A steering wheel lock can add extra security too.

Don’t leave valuables in your car. Make sure it’s visible and well-lit. Also, check that all doors and windows at home are secure. If you don’t have an alarm, consider getting one.

Store your car keys away from doors and windows. A locked drawer or a faraday pouch works great. Keep an eye on your neighborhood and report anything suspicious.

If you see any strange vehicles, note down their registration numbers. And if you have doorbell footage, share it with the police. Let’s look out for each other and keep our community safe!
