A Glasgow family mourns their puppy, Boss, after a fatal attack by an American Bulldog in their garden. The incident left them traumatized.
Their eight-month-old French Bulldog, Boss, died after a neighborhood dog entered their garden and attacked him. The attack, which occurred Saturday evening, killed the pup. Michaela said her children are traumatized and that the shock attack really hurt them mentally.
Michaela told the Daily Record about the incident, explaining that her autistic son saw the attack. His terror was heartbreaking, she said, as the American Bulldog shook Boss until he died. It dragged him across the garden by its mouth.
Andrew and Charlie also witnessed the awful event, and they are all now dealing with the trauma. Andrew tried his best to save Boss from the attack. Boss was dragged into bushes and mauled, leaving him with no chance.
After the attack, Michaela struggles to go outside, grieving the loss of Boss, which is a sad experience that breaks her heart. She now struggles to enter the garden and has not left her home, terrified to even do that.
Michaela was already scared of big dogs before this event. She called the police after the awful event, and Police Scotland visited the home to investigate. They also interviewed the owner of the attacking dog, and Michaela is now speaking with the dog warden, worried about her family’s safety.
Harley, age five, is very scared and has had to be removed from the house several times since the attack. Michaela’s autistic son has shut down too. Both kids question what happened to Boss, and their emotions are all over the place.
Since the incident, Michaela feels such grief, as Boss was always with her, like her shadow. She now feels afraid to leave the house and mentally, feels traumatized and heartbroken. Michaela worries about another dog or child being harmed.
Boss was a part of their family, and their house feels empty without him now, she said. Police Scotland confirmed that at 6.20pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025, they received a report of a puppy being attacked by another dog at a home on Quarrybrae Street in Glasgow.
The puppy was taken to a vet for help but sadly, died from his injuries. Officers came to give advice to involved parties. The Daily Record has contacted the dog warden and is looking for their comments.
