Exeter: A recent police raid in Exeter led to the arrest of Simon Bishop, a 44-year-old with a long criminal history. He has 117 previous offenses. When officers arrived at the Acorn and Oak building, he tried to toss his phone out the window.

Inside the flat, they found plenty of evidence linking him to drug dealing. The court learned that Bishop has struggled with addiction and has a violent past. He was sentenced to two years and eight months for possession with intent to supply heroin.

The raid took place on November 8 last year. Bishop was inside with two other men. He was caught trying to get rid of drugs and other evidence. Police discovered drugs worth hundreds of pounds, along with packaging, scales, and phones.

His lawyer described Bishop as a long-term addict without a stable home. She mentioned he lives a pretty bleak life. His past crimes include theft, battery, and even having an offensive weapon. The judge noted that he would serve 40% of his sentence before being eligible for early release.
