Dublin: Get ready for some wild weather! Ireland is about to get hit with heavy rain and strong winds. It looks like a pretty miserable few days are ahead.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather has shared some “worrying” updates about Storm Eowyn. He mentioned that the storm’s center is shifting south, which means severe gusts are on the way.
He cautioned that things could still change, but right now, it doesn’t look good. So, keep an eye on the forecasts!
Also, there’s a Status Yellow fog warning in effect for all of Ireland until 11 AM. Met Eireann has warned about dense fog, which could make driving tricky.
In Dublin, the fog should clear up this morning, giving way to some sunny spells. It’ll be a dry day with temperatures reaching around 7 or 8 degrees.
Tonight, expect it to stay mainly dry, but mist and fog will roll back in. There might even be some frost, with temperatures dropping to about 2 or 3 degrees.
Tomorrow, the mist and fog will clear, leading to sunny spells and a few isolated showers. Daytime temps will hover around 7 or 8 degrees.
Looking ahead, Wednesday night should start off dry, but clouds will move in, bringing scattered showers. Winds will pick up, and temperatures will drop to 2 to 5 degrees.
Thursday morning is set to be wet, with rain becoming widespread. The rain should ease up in the afternoon, but there’s a chance of hail.
As Thursday night rolls in, it’s expected to get wet and windy. Strong southerly winds will bring heavy rain, which might even turn to sleet or snow in some areas.
Friday looks to be very windy, with near gale force winds expected. Rain will clear out, giving way to sunshine and some wintry showers. Afternoon temps will be around 7 to 10 degrees.
