Dublin: A cold weather event similar to the “Beast from the East” might be on the way. Met Eireann has issued warnings about freezing temperatures.

Weather Alerts Ireland mentioned that after the bank holiday, cold air will move in from the west. This week, even colder air could arrive from the east.

Today, expect a mix of clouds and some sun. It will be breezy with a chance of light drizzle later. Daytime temperatures will be around 10 to 12 degrees.

Tonight, it will remain breezy with rain continuing from the west. The lowest temperatures will drop to about 7 to 9 degrees.

Tomorrow will start wet and cloudy, but rain should clear by late morning. Sunshine and scattered showers will follow, with temperatures around 9 to 10 degrees.

Looking ahead, Tuesday night will be mostly dry with clear spells. Temperatures could drop to between -1 and +3 degrees, leading to frost and ice.

On Wednesday, expect mostly dry weather with some sunshine. A few light showers may occur near the western coasts. Highs will be around 6 to 9 degrees.

Wednesday night will be clear and cold, with temperatures dropping to -2 to +2 degrees.

Thursday should be largely dry and sunny, though it may get cloudier in the southwest. Highs will be between 7 and 10 degrees.

Friday will also be mostly dry with sunny spells, but clouds may build from the west. Expect highs of 6 to 9 degrees.

Next weekend, there’s some uncertainty about rain moving in from the west, but plenty of dry weather is still expected.
