Hayes School in Paignton celebrates outstanding Ofsted ratings in education, behavior, and leadership, marking a significant achievement for the school community.
Paignton: Hayes School had a big reason to celebrate. They received three outstanding ratings in their latest Ofsted inspection.
The school celebrated with colorful balloons that spelled “outstanding.” Steve Darling, the MP for Torbay, visited with his assistance dog, Jennie. It was a great day for students and staff to reflect on their success.
During the visit, Steve joined everyone to mark the school’s achievement. The inspection praised the quality of education, student behavior, and leadership. They also received good ratings for personal development and early years provision.
Students shared their excitement about being part of Hayes School. The school is known for its friendly atmosphere and ambitious curriculum.
Steve’s visit happened during the school’s ‘enrichment’ afternoons. These afternoons offer fun activities like yoga, chess, cooking, and football, ensuring all kids enjoy enriching experiences.
Steve praised the school’s success, saying he loved spending time with the students. He was impressed by their sustainability project, which includes gardening and creating habitats for wildlife.
He noted how engaged the students are and how they embody the school’s values. He congratulated headteacher Mark Hanbury and the team for their well-deserved recognition.
Mark expressed pride in the achievement. He thanked the staff and governors for their dedication and highlighted the students’ outstanding performance.
Mark added that they always strive for excellence. This recognition, along with topping the league tables in Torbay for two years, shows their commitment to providing the best education.
