Fiona Henderson joins North Devon Plus to lead clean maritime and green energy initiatives, focusing on sustainable practices and local economic growth.
Fiona, who grew up in Devon, brings a lot of experience to her new role. She worked as an environmental consultant on big energy projects. Now, she’s eager to promote sustainable practices in the maritime and green energy sectors.
Her work includes clean propulsion, seaweed initiatives, and floating offshore wind technologies. Fiona wants to create more job opportunities in North Devon, especially for young people looking to enter greener careers.
Recently, she helped organize the North Devon and Torridge Maritime Network event in Appledore. It was a hit! The network plans to hold quarterly events for maritime businesses to connect and share ideas.
