Camberley has had youth problems, and police are trying to stop this behavior. They issued another dispersal order after a local councillor said large youth groups gather, noting that not all cause harm, but their size is intimidating.

Police sent a letter to parents, addressing rising antisocial actions. The order covers the whole town centre and lasts 48 hours this weekend, marking the third such order in a row as police want to prevent a bigger problem.

The police commander stated that the behavior is unacceptable and hurts the community and local shops. To address the issue, police will find a long-term solution and will patrol Camberley for 48 hours, starting Saturday, February 8.

Shaun Garrett shared his concerns, mentioning a recent bowling trip with his daughter and witnessing many noisy youths running around. He suspects businesses suffer too, highlighting instances where teenagers were rude to both staff and the police, adding that this has become noticeable.

Garrett observed 50 to 60 youths together, estimating them to be of secondary school age. While he understands their desire to be out, he believes the police action reflects public safety concerns.

The order encompasses much of the town center, including the area inside the A30 road, Pembroke Broadway, Charles Street, and Knoll Road. This creates a zone for patrols this weekend.

On January 25, police arrested a fifteen-year-old teen for assaulting a security guard. The arrest occurred after responding to antisocial actions at The Atrium. Police issued an order lasting 48 hours at that time, dispersing seven people.
