Road work will cause delays on the A46. Temporary traffic lights are going up in Cheltenham. The lights will be there for six weeks total. Work starts Monday, February 10, and ends March 21. This is for the Miller Homes estate construction. They are building 350 new houses.

The lights span Moorend Park Road to the site entrance. The Electricity Network Company does the work. The county council says delays are likely. Expect congestion near Up Hatherley. Long delays happen during peak hours, morning and afternoon.

Works also affects A46 junctions. Emma Nelson posted about this on Facebook. Power On will do the electricity connection. The work is in phases. It’s between Moorend Park junction and the site. The connection runs from Moorend Road.

It runs along the road about 100 meters. It goes into the verge by number 98. Then it goes into Miller’s site. An emergency number will be clearly displayed. This helps with any traffic light problems.

The new housing estate is called Greenway Chase. Houses cost from £425,000 to £1.1 million. First homes are off Kidnappers Lane. Foundations are happening now, rain slows progress. A new mini-roundabout gets built soon.

It will be on Shurdington Road. It will be between Kidnappers and Woodlands Road. This is for a new estate entrance.
