Our volunteers

Most of our volunteers live in the Camphill Milton Keynes Communities. They are men and women with a variety of learning disabilities, mental health problems and other special needs. They range in age from eighteen to seventy.

Other volunteers include people from the Milton Keynes area who have had accidents, or have suffered stress related illnesses. They are regaining their confidence and strength so they can play an active part in the community again.

Some volunteers are referred to us by local agencies because they are not in paid employment and have limited opportunities to meet other people.

Some are just people who want to use part of their spare time refurbishing tools or generally helping out with this very special charity.

We practice equal opportunities by accommodating anyone who can safely benefit from participation in our activities and who can make a meaningful contribution, regardless of their ability level.
